Velux App Control Gateway

andy, March 27, 2026

I bought one of these for the roof windoes / blinds

It’s sold as a solution, with an app, which is fine, but I want to be able to dig into it a little more>
Slightly confusin is that it’s sold and referenced as a KIG 300, but the model numner on the actual unit is NXG01E, marketing I guess 🙂

So the spec on it states:

  • WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
  • 868Mhz
  • io-homecontrol

So the 868 Mhz link needs investigating, as does whatever io-homecontrol is
